Schools & Programs

Education happens both inside and outside the classroom at OSSB. Students have a full day of learning during daily classes in academics and the fine arts, through support by related services. Staff teach to state content standards and utilize Expanded Core Curriculum for a whole student approach. After school many students continue their learning through extra-curricular activity clubs and athletics. For students that live on campus, during the week, the Residential Program provides enrichment opportunities in the evenings.

Adapted Physical Education

Students learn fundamental motor skills through a variety of educational setting and apply them throughout life.

Early Childhood

The youngest students at the Ohio School for the Deaf and the Ohio State School for the Blind receive loving attention and education through The Alice Cogswell Center and the Early Learning Center. Students are ages six weeks to five years of age (or when they enter Kindergarten).

E.D.G.E. Program

The EDGE program is a post-secondary experience tailored to assist students in preparing for adult life.

At OSSB our Elementary department includes grades K-6.
