Kristen Starr joined the Ohio School for the Deaf and the Ohio State School for the Blind in December 2019 as the first dedicated legal counsel for the schools. During her time at the schools, she has worked to get many policies and procedures created and approved to help the schools run more efficiently and effectively.  

Prior to OSD and OSSB, Ms. Starr was in private practice and had worked at the Ohio Attorney General’s Office in the Health and Human Services division. 

Ms. Starr earned her bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and her law degree from the Moritz College of Law at The Ohio State University. She holds licenses to practice law in Ohio and Michigan and for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
